“Our group uses shared leadership and each week we had a new facilitator. For our first 7 meetings we did use the curriculum and adapted it to meet our needs. Since we are a talkative bunch, we only used some of the activities and readings to make our meetings a little shorter. During the summer of 2012 we will work on some yard/home projects as a group to help members that would have a hard time completing these things on their own. We’ve also discussed a number of other projects that we may take up in the future.”

“My opinion of the Resilience Circle is that it is a great way to get people back in touch with their “village”. For those of us with no or little family, it is like having a family.”
– Patricia March, Resilience Circle Member
“Building our circle has been a great experience so far. I feel as though I have learned so much about myself and our members. One tip we found helpful was to involve lots of potlucks! I am hoping that by the end of this summer we will have a plethora of new ideas to share.”
